
Laura J. Murray is Associate Professor in the English Department at Queen’s University, where she teaches American literature and literary theory. She is the proprietor of www.faircopyright.ca, an information and advocacy resource and her most recent publications in the copyright area are “Copyright Talk: Possibilities and Pitfalls in Canadian Copyright Discourses” (in Michael Geist, ed., In the Public Interest: The Future of Canadian Copyright Law, Irwin Law 2005 and http://www.irwinlaw.com) and “Protecting Ourselves to Death: Canada, Copyright, & the Internet” (First Monday, October 2004: http://www.firstmonday.org). She has also edited books and published articles on exploration literature, early American literature, Aboriginal literature, and history of the book.
